La Mer is a beachfront destination on the Jumeirah 1 coast, developed by Meraas on existing and reclaimed land. It opened in 2017 and is split into La Mer North and La Mer South, with beaches, a promenade, shops and restaurants.

Meraas has built several residential projects around the beach. Port de La Mer offers low-rise apartments and penthouses around a marina, Sur La Mer offers waterfront townhouses, and newer projects such as Solaya add large apartments and penthouses. Some are complete and others are under development.
