Living here

As a place to live, Sheikh Zayed Road means the towers that line the city's main highway as it runs south-west from the Trade Centre roundabout, rather than a single planned community. Buildings were delivered by many different developers over several decades, so older and newer towers stand side by side.

Properties are mainly apartments, from studios to three-bedroom units, with some penthouses and serviced residences in hotel towers. Many of the older towers have generous layouts. The area tends to suit people who work in DIFC, the Trade Centre district, Business Bay or Downtown Dubai and want a short commute by metro.

The Red Line runs along the road, with stations including World Trade Centre, Emirates Towers and Financial Centre. Al Satwa, Al Wasl, DIFC and Downtown Dubai are all next door, and Jumeirah's beaches are a short drive away.
