Nad Al Sheba is a long-established residential area to the east of Meydan, divided into several numbered districts. Much of it is made up of private family villas on individual plots, alongside schools, mosques and local parks.

The newer face of the area is Nad Al Sheba Gardens, a gated community by Meraas built in phases. It offers townhouses and detached villas with gardens, and its amenities include swimmable lagoons, a wave pool, sports courts, running and cycling tracks and an events lawn with an amphitheatre.

The area tends to suit families who want a house with outdoor space within reach of Downtown Dubai and Business Bay. Meydan Racecourse is next door, and access is via Dubai–Al Ain Road, Ras Al Khor Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. Dubai International Airport is a short drive north.
