The World Islands is an archipelago of man-made islands laid out in the shape of a world map, a few kilometres off the Jumeirah coast. Nakheel created the islands and sold many of them to private owners and developers.
Many islands are still undeveloped, and all are reached only by boat. The main finished projects include the Heart of Europe by the Kleindienst Group, with hotels and holiday properties across several islands, the Anantara World Islands resort, and a beach club on the Lebanon island.
It suits buyers looking for a holiday property or hotel residence away from the mainland, or an entire island to develop. Owners rely on boat transfers from mainland marinas, so it works better as a second residence than as a base for a daily commute.
