Dubai Maritime City is a man-made peninsula between Mina Rashid and the Dubai Dry Docks, planned as a centre for the maritime industry. It combines ship repair and yacht services, offices, a maritime education campus and a residential district.
Properties are apartments in towers built by several developers on plots sold by the master developer. A few buildings are complete, and many more residential projects are under development.
It suits people who work in the maritime sector or around Mina Rashid, Bur Dubai and Deira, and buyers who want a waterfront apartment close to the older city. A causeway connects the peninsula to the road network near Jumeirah Beach Road, and Sheikh Zayed Road is a short drive away.
