Dubai South, formerly known as Dubai World Central, is a government-owned master development built around Al Maktoum International Airport in the south-west of the emirate. Its properties are developed by Dubai South Properties, while large areas are set aside for aviation, logistics and free-zone business.

Properties are concentrated in the Residential District, a group of gated neighbourhoods with apartments, townhouses and villas, with newer apartment buildings being added in phases. Emaar South, a separate golf community, also lies within the wider Dubai South area.

It tends to suit people working at the airport, in logistics or at Expo City Dubai, and buyers who want newer properties away from the city centre. Access is via Emirates Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Expo Road, and a public bus links the Residential District with Expo 2020 station on the Red Line.
