Expo City Dubai is the legacy development on the site that hosted Expo 2020 Dubai. It is planned and developed by Expo City Dubai itself, which is turning the former exhibition grounds into a walkable district of properties, offices, attractions and event venues, including Al Wasl Plaza, Terra and the Dubai Exhibition Centre.

Housing is being built in phases. Expo Central offers apartments, lofts and a small number of townhouses around Al Wasl Plaza, while Expo Valley is a gated area of villas and townhouses beside a nature reserve.

It suits people who want a walkable, car-light setting, those working at the exhibition centre or in Dubai South, and families looking for newer villas. Expo 2020 station on the Red Line serves the site, and Expo Road links it to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road.
